John Wayne Gacy raped, tortured, and murdered at least 33 teenage boys and young men. He buried 26 of the victims in the crawl space of his home. The property that John Wayne Gacy killed most of his victims is now for sale.
While Gacy’s original home was torn down, you can own the house that now sits on the site where Gacy murdered and kept most of his victims. The house is located in Norwood Park, Illinois. It is a three-bedroom, two-bath, 2,500 square foot home built in 1986 — the house priced at $459,000.
Realtor.com describes the property as “Norwood Park Township – Beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath Brick home in Maine South H.S. District. Features updated kitchen with eating area that overlooks huge backyard, separate dining room, living room, and family room with beautiful two-sided fireplace. Huge second story loft can be used as a bedroom or office. Attached 2 car garage and clean basement with laundry. New tear-off Roof. Close to all transportation. Must See!”
The description makes no mention of the property’s murderous past nor does it name John Wayne Gacy in the listing.
John Wayne Gacy, aka Pogo the Clown, was sentenced to death on March 13, 1980, for 12 of the 33 murders he committed. It is highly likely that law enforcement probably didn’t recover all the remains from this property. While the home seems nice, no one can dispute that the history of the property ups the creepy factor.
