Writer/director Leigh Whannell’s new adaptation of H.G. Well’s classic The Invisible Man is set to hit theaters at the end of this month and there’s a terrifying new trailer out today that gives us a glimpse of his terrifying new vision.
After Cecilia (Elisabeth Moss) manages to escape her abusive ex, Adrian (Oliver Jackson-Cohen), he takes his own life, leaving her his fortune. It doesn’t take long, however, before Cecilia begins to suspect that Adrian is not, in fact, dead. He’s found a way to make himself invisible and that’s when the real terror begins.
Aldis Hodge (Hidden Figures), Storm Reid (A Wrinkle in Time), and Michael Dorman (Daybreakers) also star in the new film.
Whannell has proven himself a master of suspense and storytelling with films like Insidious, Saw, and Upgrade, but it looks like he’s taking things to a whole new level with The Invisible Man.
The new trailer takes us deep inside Cecilia’s terror viewed as paranoia by those around her despite her insistence that Adrian isn’t really dead. The film looks absolutely terrifying, and we can’t wait to see how all of this plays out!
The Invisible Man is produced by Blumhouse and will hit theaters on February 28, 2020. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments!
