    The Top 10 Horror Movie Trailers Released in July 2018


    While we can’t guarantee these films will be awesome, the trailers certainly have our attention! July is a huge month for movie trailers, as the annual Comic-Con in San Diego sees many major studios dropping previews of upcoming blockbusters. As expected, a ton of amazing footage was released, some of it for the very first time.

    Since there were also so great horror movie trailers released in July outside of the Comic-Con event, we’ve assembled the Top 10 for you to binge-watch. In addition to the trailers, we’ve included release dates and synopses. Have a read and let us know which one you’re looking forward to the most!

    Constantine: City of Demons
    Release Date: October 9, 2018 (DVD)

    Synopsis:
    “A decade after a tragic mistake, family man Chas and occult detective John Constantine set out to cure Chas’s daughter Trish from a mysterious supernatural coma. With the help of the mysterious Nightmare Nurse, the influential Queen of Angels, and brutal Aztec God Mictlantecuhtli, the pair just might have a chance at outsmarting the demon Beroul to save Trish’s soul. In a world of shadows and dark magic, not everything is what it seems, and there’s always a price to pay.     Venom
    Release Date: October 5, 2018

    Synopsis:
    When Eddie Brock acquires the powers of a symbiote, he will have to release his alter-ego “Venom” to save his life.

    Release Date: August 10, 2018

    Synopsis:
    Terror strikes when four teenage girls in a small town perform a ritual to debunk the lore of a tall, thin, horrifying figure known as the Slender Man. They soon fear that the legend is true when one of them suddenly goes missing.

    Release Date: September 14, 2018

    Synopsis:
    A supervirus has turned humankind into highly intelligent, streamlined killers, and an asymptomatic victim (Matt Smith) who can communicate with the infected must lead the last survivors on a hunt for Patient Zero and a cure.

     

    Assassination Nation
    Release Date: September 21, 2018

    Synopsis:
    When an anonymous hacker exposes the secrets of the residents of Salem, Mass., four high school girls are out for revenge.

     

    Overlord
    Release Date: November 9, 2018

    Synopsis:
    On the eve of D-Day, paratroopers drop behind enemy lines to carry out a crucial mission for the invasion. As they approach their target, they soon begin to realize there’s more going on in the Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation.

     

    Glass
    Release Date: January 18, 2019

    Synopsis:
    M. Night Shyamalan brings together the narratives of two of his standout originals—2000’s Unbreakable, from Touchstone, and 2016’s Split, from Universal—in one explosive, all-new comic-book thriller: Glass. From Unbreakable, Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast. Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

    Alita: Battle Angel
    Release Date: December 21, 2018

    Synopsis:
    Set several centuries in the future, the abandoned Alita is found in the scrapyard of Iron City by Ido, a compassionate cyber-doctor who takes the unconscious cyborg Alita to his clinic. When Alita awakens, she has no memory of who she is, nor does she have any recognition of the world she finds herself in. As Alita learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron City, Ido tries to shield her from her mysterious past.

     

    Godzilla: King of the Monsters
    Release Date: May 31, 2019

    Synopsis:
    Humanity’s existence hangs in the balance when the mighty Godzilla collides with Mothra, Rodan and the three-headed monster King Ghidorah.
